Yes..my son is finally here! He was born Sun.24 at 8:06pm. It was a 8hr labor but technically 12 since my water broke early. i was nothin like i thought it would be. I can happily say it was the greatest feeling in the world when he came out.We are so happy & blessed. I love spending every moment with him.he is too handsome & jus loves to sleep. I realy dont like him to sleep too much though.

So i was wonderin if yall have a few tips to help to keep up sum??? Even even he eats he tends to sleep.

That's normal in the first few days. Eat sleep piss and shit that's about it for the first few weeks.
Well that and ... grow grow grow ... they've got to stabilize / learn to breathe if you can believe that, which is why he would sometimes be breathing fast then slow, and learn how to regulate their temperature.
You'll be glad if he sleeps for now cause that's gonna end sooner rather than later. But their bones have to harden up, they've gota grow and grow and grow some more ... but if he's falling asleep in the middle of a meal just wake him up / uncover his feet / say his name.
Growing in the first few weeks is serious work for them. They got nothing else to do ...

What's his full name? How much did he weigh? Are you breast or bottle-feeding? Some tips: Make surehe goes no more than 3 hours without eating especially if he's breastfeeding and make sure he has at least 8 to 10 wet and poopy diapers a day. Last but not least, get lots and lots of rest, (sleep with him on your chest if you have to), and get plenty of fluids and nutritious snacks in. These babies will and do wear you out.

hmmm, I must say, babies do sleep like crazy in the first month or so and as most people know this was a huge concern of mine, but as mentioned, they began to stay awake longer as they grow and become accustom to being outside of the womb. Trust me, your baby will eat when it's hungry, and as long as there are at least 8-10 wet and/or poopy diapers a day you should be fine. Another thing, my daughter would fall asleep on the breast and still might do this sometimes, but unlike most she would be hard to wake and get her to finish eating, don't worry about it though, it gets better in time.

His name is Adrian Jovanni;Weigh 7lbs 2oz. I mainly want to breast feed but also do bottle &Thought bout pumpin wen im out & about. At the hospital he would fall asleep while on my breast kinda felt bad but its like they told me it will take time cause its new to both of us. I was kinda concern of his sleepin since i was told not to let him sleep alot. Although i was tired after labor i got a few hrs of sleep while he slept more than me. & i hated sendin him to the nursery but i had to get sum rest.

Sleep is normal at this point. My daughter slept a lot at first, too. She'd fall asleep while nursing, and I'd have to wake her up to continue. You can stroke his cheek, rub his back or gently tickle the bottoms of his feet. If he's getting too comfortable during feedings, you can strip him down to his diaper while he eats. That was one of the things that was suggested to me by a nurse, and it worked whenever I resorted to doing that. *SMILE*
Enjoy your little bundle. They grow too fast.
